Don't buy this if you are thinking "desk". It's not a desk, despite the name. In fact, the instructions tell you not to put any additional weight on the product (other than your laptop). So, if you are buying this to hold your laptop to watch a movie while you work out or gently tap the keyboard as you work, no problem--it does a great job of that for an inexpensive price. They have done a very good job of designing the product to securely hold your laptop, but you can't "lean" at all on the product or put any additional weight on the product. I give the product four stars for being a very inexpensive way to securely hold a laptop on your treadmill--it's worth the money just for that purpose.
Since I was actually trying to get work done, and not watch a movie, I didn't find the product very useful for that purpose. I ended up buying a Trek Desk (which I love) after this product didn't meet my needs.
